Korse & Corsets

korse:

Jammed under a read more.

I feel a little constricted about this. I’m a korset and not a sex machine? Damn.

girlautomatic:

So I know there’s been a little bit of upheaval in recent days, but we’re not going to talk about that here because it has no bearing on theories or brainstorms related to the Dangerverse and I’m just not interested in talking about it anyway. It happened, it sucks, but that’s life—the end.

1. Thanks, actually, for putting all that under a “Read More”. I probably should’ve done that in hindsight, but when your brain is tripping the light theoretical, common sense goes out the window. XD

2. While my sensors do indicate an attempt at humor (especially since the top of your blog currently has a rather fitting 1984 reference to the Junior Anti-Sex League) I actually gave it some thought. And…well…

I’ve been waiting for an excuse to apply this gif. (Source)

The longer answer is that… Okay, let’s put aside the fact that in the “SING” video, Korse wakes up in an oversized repurposed bank tube. Let’s pretend that is just a temporary stasis chamber or maybe even a medical-related device to heal up any wounds he receives in the line of duty. Suppose Korse actually has a sweet condo to go with the company car and actually has off time when he does non-work-related things. Would Korse also have a significant other (regardless of orientation)? Would he have a family? Friends? I don’t think so. He might have associates, but the only family he might have (provided family units still exist in Battery City as we know them to exist, since the family unit has/is/will continue to evolve) are his parents and any siblings or extended ones—and that’s assuming that he still associates with them or that they aren’t dead/arrested.

But no. I personally don’t think Korse would really have very many (if any) personal relationships, let alone have sex, and that’s probably how he likes it. (I’m legitimately still not sure if Korse is under any sort of direct influence. Something about Dr. Death Defying’s mention of how some people chose to put on the masks after the war was over has been sticking in my head lately and I keep feeling like it’s relevant. Korse might just be one of those guys who really and truly loves his job.) And it works great for BLI too! Because if we follow the theory that Korse is essentially the White Knight/Champion of Battery City as Chief Exterminator, then it can be said that he is metaphorically married to the city and her protector. It’s a chivalrous, exemplary marriage!

Or something. The coffee is only just starting to kick in, so…
